My journey with yoga started many years ago with me buying a book from a charity shop and trying out some of the postures.  Life then took many twists and turns and about 8 years ago, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.  Thankfully, it helped me to finally make sense of my weird and wonderful mixture of symptoms, but it also made me reassess my life.  It made me look at how I could live with this condition.  I discovered yoga was a fabulous way to manage my pain, reduce my stress and build strength in my body. During my teacher training, I was told to 'just breathe'-little did I know how breathing, combined with postures, would have such an impact on my life. Yoga has saved me in many ways and therefore, I decided that I wanted to share this with other people by completing my initial  200 hours Yoga Alliance teacher training with Ian Davies (Orange Yoga), and my Teaching Children Yoga Alliance accredited course with Susannah Hoffman (Triyoga, London). Subsequently, I have completed a 60 hour course on Children's yoga through Class Yoga (Helen Clare) and am continuing my Yoga Alliance accredited training with my 500 hours training through Orange Yoga. I am very excited to be starting my Yoga Therapy training in September 2024 to further enhance what is on offer @West Cottage.

I believe that Yoga is very much a gift that needs to be shared and as a result, @WestCottage was born.

And now, after support from my family and friends, I can now say that At West Cottage yoga is finally in its home.
